This is an RP account for the character Sherlock Holmes.

NAME: Sherlock Holmes.
PRONOUNS: He / Him.
OCCUPATION: Consulting Detective.
AGE: Flexible - between approximately thirty and sixty, dependant on storyline.
ERA: Flexible - either canon time period (approx. 1885 - 1915), or modern era, dependant on storyline.
CURRENT INFORMATION: At present, Holmes is approximately thirty or thereabouts; only a few years into his residency at Baker Street and his time with Doctor Watson. He is predominantly set in modern London.
PERSONALITY: Holmes is a studious, forthright, and intellectual individual, with a passion for brainwork and an immaculate recollection when it comes to all things related to original and unique crime. Few things make him happier than a perplexing case to solve, with a dramatic reveal at the end, and perhaps an experiment or two he can perform along the way - all rounded off with dinner and a show with Watson. Few things make him as miserable as mental stagnation, or the feeling of failure / insufficiency, and these times are likely to trigger a Black Mood. Holmes holds himself to a remarkably high standard and is guided by his strong sense of justice. Displays of disrespect and wanton injustice are quick to anger the detective.

AU'S AND CROSSOVERS: I am particularly open to writing with characters from adjacent Literature / Spy / Crime etc. verses, and verses that align at least a considerable amount with Holmes' reality. Please understand that, for example, the existence of superheroes / mutants / aliens / magic would explode the 'realistic' environment of an observational detective. My exception is Gothic and Classic Literature (especially Gothic) because a crossover with universes such as Frankenstein, Dracula, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde etc. would be kind of iconic. Vampire AUs are sexy.
MISC ACCOUNT INFORMATION: Holmes is a canon-inspired character with creative liberties taken (for fun!). Part of this means that, at this time, I am not personally interested in writing all additional content provided by adaptations and OC's (e.g., bonus siblings such as Eurus / Enola). I love following OC's however and seeing your storylines with other characters! Please do not mistake my personal character choice for a reflection of my attitude to OC's. There are plenty of adaptational choices that I will not be writing so please feel free to DM me if there is one in particular you wanted to talk about.
